Bahama Mama

Origins

The drink officially has two theories behind its invention. First it being named after a famous Caribbean dancer Dottie Lee Anderson in the 1930 also known as the “Bahama Mama” on stage. Second theory says the drink got famous during  prohibition when the Bahamas were used as a rum smuggling base.

Ingredients
  • 15 ml Dark rum 151 proof
  • 15 ml Dark rum
  • 15 ml Malibu
  • 8 ml Kahlua
  • 30 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 120 ml Pineapple Juice Fresh

  1. Shake all the ingredients together and pour over fresh ice in a Collins glass.
