Tullee Shop

If the number of people who've written in offering their services were lined up end to end, they'd stretch halfway down Mumbai's Western expressway (which is pretty long, if you're not familar with Mumbai's geography) and we at Tulleeho would be sitting on a beach in Hawaii having successfully cracked what we call the Canfield Chicken soup for the soul model (so titled because most of Mr. Canfield's books are based on reader contributions and he's laughed all the way to the bank since). Well unfortunately we haven't got all their services, but what we have had are the stellar services of a group of people, who for their own reasons, some fame, some money, and some lust (if only) have been the backbone of our site.

Well anyway, the benighted souls who qualify for the honour of being part of the Tullee wall of shame are here purely on their ability to contribute repeated content to the site. Some of them would prefer to remain anonymous, as they are of royal blood, while others have chosen to go the whole hog and forced their pictures on us. Here they are ...

Lets start with ..

Douglas Barrett (Mumbai reviews of Copa Cabaana, Indigo and Champs, also featured here, because he gave us shots of 7 year old Havana Club rum), who's getting married on the 22nd of October, 2000 to Gail. Doug's number 2 in the British high commission in Mumbai and is actually suspected of being MI 6's man in Mumbai, under which guise he hides rather well as he is to be found in Copa Cabaana most nights, that is when he is not harrying the Hash house harriers to greater feats of drunkenness. Here he is in a state of undress.

Karishma Pais (or Kim) has held the august position of the Grandnunkim of OMAXI (Old Monks association of XLRI), which title she made rather good use of as our guide to Bangalore (7 Bangalore reviews and also known to be the only person who’s ever made Tulleeho their home page), while she wiled away her time in the day at a software firm. Currently transferred to Atlanta by Tulleeho, we hope she'll be back on Indian shores soon to take up a senior position at Tulleeho.

Pissedrunk (drinking in Kuwait and Ireland) by day manages the affairs of a middle eastern company. By night he parties, staying close to his south indian roots. He'd prefer to be anonymous as he doesn't want to get some of his assorted limbs chopped up for disclosing that people do drink in Kuwait. Therefore also no pic.

Narayan Sunderraman (reviews of Flavors and Club 9) from Mumbai seems to do nothing but party, judging from his reviews, with nubile young things of exciting dimensions. Do some work for a change Narayan. He's been to lazy to send in his pic also.

Anil Sukhia from Mumbai has not done anything material for Tulleeho, apart from making us part with 3 bottles of whisky (for winning Tullee trivia's 3,4 and 5 - it's another matter that he's the only person who's ever entered tullee trivia). His other contributions to the site shall best remain anonymous. When Tulleeho is subjected to the historians' scrutiny careful readers of our guestbook may spot them.

Benshaver (5 reviews from Calcutta) actually comes from a North eastern royal family and would prefer to keep his title under wraps while he exposes Calcutta's nightlife. Hope he regains the throne someday.

Vikrant Nath (5 killer recipes in Strange Brew) in his own words - "I am 30 something, married with 2 kids. I used to be a mountaineer till I got over-the-hill...now I am a Garment Exporter (part time - to keep my banker happy) and a full time dotcommer - with 2 and a half sites to look after and looking for a VC"..

Sachin Rao (our Brahmin in Chennai) also in his own words - " a bit more about moi: am a freelance writer (ads/promos, brochures, portals/websites, feature articles, whatever), with over a year's exp as a copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Chennai. A product of loyola college's visual communication dept. passionate about fast motorcycles.. own an '84 RD350. dream in life is to write a really good book, run a little inn-eatery-type-thing, and buy & restore classic Jap multis (Kawi H2!! Honda CB750!! aaaahhh!!!). "

Amitesh Rao, an itinerant client servicing type now peddling marine equipment and services (as we understand) who designed the Tulleeho logo as you see it now. He of course made up for this feat almost immediately by losing the original version of the same and making sure we would never know what font it was created in. If any of you out there can tell us, drop us a line.
